Hi guys,
A few of us are heading down to the Dart this weekend. We are hoping to paddle the upper Dart if the water conditions are good (ie. it rains!). The river has sections of class 4 rapids in a remote environment, so is quite a serious river.

we may paddle the dart 'loop' section too, but again this is level dependent.

If all else fails and there is no water (quite likely), I reckon we'll be looking at climbing venues around dartmoor.....!

Get in touch if you're interested.

Yeah, if some rain appears.

Having looked at the weather forecast, it may be debatable whether to bother taking boats at all......

I only just caught this, did you guys come down in the end?

I spent my time running a cross country instead as the water levels looked low, did you manage to get anything done?

Next time you're down give us a bell and we'll either join you or you can pop in for a cuppa on the way past.... Very Happy

well, there really wasn't any water in the rivers, and magic seaweed lied to us - there really wasn't any surf at Bude either. All wasn't lost on Saturday though as we found an indoor climbing wall on the way back to the Dart country park.

Sunday was spent climbing in the sun on Dartmoor.

We had a good weekend despite the lack of rain.

Agreed- it was a fun weekend with great company, despite the fact I didn't get to run any of the Dart... it looked such a scrape I'm sure it wouldn't have been much fun really.

Climbing was fun though, both indoor and outdoor. Although my hands didn't particularly appreciate the cold on Sunday it was a gorgeous day and nice to be outside!

Thanks for a fun weekend all.

Very Happy

p.s. I'm sure they'll be a pool rematch at some point, so Chris B and myself wil be ready next time!!
